The NGO Co-ordination Board and the Organizing Committee of the NGOs Week 2009 are
organizing a soccer tournament and fun day as part of the preliminary activities
prior to the NGO Week 2009.
The tournament will be held at Kasarani Sports Complex
on Saturday
5th
September 2009.
The theme of the tournament is “Bringing the NGO Family
Together “
Objectives of the tournament are:
1.
To create a networking opportunity for NGOs and their
affiliates
2.
To Publicize the NGOs Week 2009
3.
To act as a fun day for NGO sector operatives and
their families
4.
To select a combined NGO team to compete against
Parliamentarians, Diplomatic Missions, UN Bodies and the Corporate sector

The participants will be
drawn from NGO employees and Board members. Where an NGO is unable to form a team,
it will be allowed to partner with other NGOs. Fielding of “hired mercenaries” will lead to automatic disqualification. Only 40 teams will
be allowed to participate on a first come first served basis.
Registration is ongoing and the participation fee is
Ksh.10,000/= (ten
thousand) per team. Payment by bankers cheque
is payable to the NGO Week 2009 or money can be deposited in the following account:-
